CHINATRUST BANK BALANCE TRANSFER PROMO

I. Promo Mechanics:

1. The Chinatrust Balance Transfer Promo is open to:

a. all existing credit cardholders for at least one (1) year of any of the following Philippine credit card issuers: Citibank, Standard Chartered Bank, HSBC, AIG, Banco de Oro, Equitable PCIBank, BPI and Metrobank;

b. salaried individuals who are between 23 and 60 years old upon maturity, earning a minimum gross salary of P15,000.00 per month if working within the Greater Manila Area (GMA) and P10,000.00 if working outside GMA but Within Perimeter Service Area (WIPSA) and;

c. at least one (1) year with current employer or should have been employed for the last three (3) years

2. The Chinatrust Balance Transfer Promo starts from July 7 to August 16, 2008.

3. To qualify for the promo, the borrower should have a loan amount of at least P50,000.00 and he/she should avail of his/her loan within the promo period.

4. The borrower’s credit card must be in good standing. Only one (1) credit card may be enrolled. Should the borrower choose to enroll more than one, the card with the higher credit limit amount shall be processed.

5. The following documents are required for processing of the loan:

a. completely filled-out application form
b. photocopy of employee ID (with photo and signature)
c. photocopy of latest ITR (BIR Form 2316)
d. latest two (2) months Credit Card Statement
e. latest one (1) month pay slip
f. photocopy of face of credit card
g. clearance for cancelled credit cards (if applicable)

6. Loan proceeds amounting to the outstanding balance will be made payable to the credit card company. Loan amount in excess of borrower’s credit card balance (if any) shall be credited to the borrower via Chinatrust Visa Debit & Cash Card.

7. The amount payable to the credit card company shall be issued via Manager’s Check, and shall be received by the loan borrower. The loan borrower shall be responsible in settling the balance with the card issuer.

8. Should the borrower’s loan term is either 24 or 36 months, he is entitled to receive a free gift, depending on the approved loan amount. The free gifts are as follows:


9. Upon loan availment, the borrower can immediately get his Chinatrust Visa & Cash Card. Should he/she choose the gift over the Cash Card, Chinatrust shall provide a letter of instruction informing him/her to come back after fourteen (14) banking days to claim the gift from Chinatrust Consumer Finance Center. Borrower must bring his/her valid ID and the letter when claiming the gift item.

10. An authorized representative may also claim the gift item upon presentation of a valid ID, duly signed authorization letter and the letter.

11. Loan borrowers can redeem their gifts at the following venues and time:

a. Mondays to Fridays, 9 AM to 7 PM and Saturdays, 9 AM to 4 PM

- For GMA-based borrowers:
Chinatrust Consumer Finance Center
11th Floor, 8747 Lepanto Building, Paseo de Roxas, Makati City


b. Mondays to Fridays, 9 AM to 5:30 PM

- For Pampanga-based borrowers:
Chinatrust Consumer Finance Center - Angeles
2nd Floor, JEV Building, MacArthur Highway
Balibago, Angeles City

- For Cebu-based borrowers:
Chinatrust Consumer Finance Center - Magallanes
2nd Floor, Tokyu Building, 79 Magallanes St., Cebu
City

- For Davao-based borrowers:
Chinatrust Consumer Finance Center - Davao
2nd Floor, Brightstone Building, Monteverde Ave.
corner Gempasaw St., Davao City

12. Gift items not claimed within 60 banking days from receipt of letter will be forfeited in favor of Chinatrust, upon DTI approval.

13. Employees of Chinatrust and its relatives up to 2nd degree of consanguinity or affinity are disqualified from joining the promotion.

14. Taxes will be paid by Chinatrust.

15. In case of dispute, Chinatrust’s decision, in agreement w/ DTI, shall be final.

Very informative article here. Never tried China bank though. I've tried a lot of banks but not this one. So far, my latest is HSBC.
I would say though that Equitable PCI, now BDO is the best that I tried, never gave me a single headache. The worse, Unionbank. Grabe. sakit ng ulo to the max...

Never tried Chinabank so I don't know if it is efficient. The best that I tried is Equitable PCI which is now BDO, the worse, Unionbank. Grabe, headache to the max.
